What an amazing list, a stunning array of names, many of whom I know, some are new to me. Michael Martone is a new favourite writer of mine, just got his book, Double Wide fictions, am greatly looking forward to it! Stuart Dybek, too: am hoping to interview them both for The Short Review, and now I know they are flash experts, so much better. Jayne Anne Phillips, Steve Almond, Rusty, Randall, Deb Olin Unferth, wow. Can't wait to read the book. And Ms V Gebbie too, of course! I have just been asked to teach a flash fiction class, a one-off, and have never done anything like it but am really looking forward to bringing flash to people who may never have read any let alone written any.
Extraordinary, to pull together this team. All strength to Rose metal.
