ALBA ...V's second published poem, only...

Interesting, Ive discovered this thing called found poetry. Where other people make the phrases, and the poet strings them together.

Alba Journal of Short Poetry liked this one, a necklace made from the last words of the famous.

TOO LATE FOR FRUIT, HERE

and Jo Horsman has a Frog Poem in the same issue. Great stuff.

I love that! Would that be called a "found" poem...? Like Found Art? It is amazing how powerful the line breaks are, where you break and when. Gosh, thanks for opening my eyes to poetry, I am slowly getting over my fear :)

Funny isn't it? I always felt you had to do poetry in a semi-darkened room, with the door locked, in case someone came in...and I need a cigarettee afterwards, even though I havent smoked for years...

go figure!

I love the twin lines "Too late for fruit, too soon for flowers" - that sums up that period of awkward limbo perfectly. Thanks for linking.
