Every Day Poets

My poem 'A Stone for your Shoe' is up at Every Day Poets. HERE

Good ole internet... the system initially had a gremlin in the works and removed the stanza breaks, and the italics. So pending it being mended up there, I put the correct version here.

EDP were great to work with, as I said in previous posts. Not only did they help with at least three rewrites, sending helpful suggestions, they corrected the glitch as speedily as they could.

Lovely poem, V.

Can I just say, in EDP's defense, there have been some surprise software glitches affecting the layout of the poems. Yours hasn't been the only one needing a fix, but the team will be onto it asap.

Can I just point out that we at Every Day Poets did not REMOVE the formatting as Vanessa suggests. We have had a few technical problems which have resulted in some p[oems losing thei formatting and there is not now in out=r foiles a single version of this one that has the original. We suggest alterations to improve poems but we do not change poets' work. I would never do that!

Very effective, yes, liked this one a lot. It really is amazing how few words one needs to make a character come to life.

Would you please retract this statement from your blog, Vanessa?

Vanessa,

Our sincerest apologies about the formatting of your poem. This is the fault of the programmers at EDP, not the editorial staff at all.

We have corrected your poem and published it exactly as you have posted here.

We understand and appreciate that you wanted your poem to go out in the format you submitted it to EDP. Now that we have made our corrections, in accordance with your contract, please remove it from this site.
