Aye, she is extremely beautiful. When we met v briefly at Oxford lit fest, I remember her shoes, on the end of these impossibly long legs. Enthralling things with high perspex heels...

thanks for this Vanessa, I've not read anything by her - yet - but will look out for it. Currently re-reading Small Island, interesting multi-narrator approach, exploring race AND class and our shared history. Wish my mum was still alive to lend it to, she'd have loved it.
Hi Jo... I enjoy her short stories as much as anything. Half of a Yellow Sun is also great.
