Just a thought... because I wonder how many writers bother to thank the reviewers when their work is reviewed?
I didn't know Frances Clarke at all, but wanted to thank her when I saw Glass Bubble had been reviewed in Mslexia.
On her bio it said that she was a novelist and a short story writer among other things. A Google search threw up the rest, and I sent a message. Good old Internet!

I got a thank you email from Susan diPlacido after reviewing her collection for Tania's shortreview site. It was really nice to get the email, totally unexpected. I think your reviewer will be delighted to hear from you.
From a reviewer's POV, not many...
A shame. I don't want to come over all Pollyanna, but hey... reviewers do writers an enormous service.
I'm sure it IS appreciated, maybe they just feel they oughtn't contact or something?
I had a lovely email back from Frances C... off on a retreat to write her novel.
great stuff.
There is also the thing of writers not knowing their book has been reviewed if it is in a smaller mag, for example. Mags should contact publishers who should contact writers. Doesn't happen much though.
